For example:

In this sentence, "fluffy" is the adjective that describes the cat. It tells us more about the cat's appearance.

2. The hot coffee burned my tongue. 

In this sentence, "hot" is the adjective that describes coffee. It tells us more about the temperature of the coffee.

3. She wore a beautiful dress to the party. 

In this sentence, "beautiful" is the adjective that describes the dress. It tells us more about the appearance of the dress.

Adjectives can be used to describe many different qualities, such as size, colour, shape, texture, age, origin, and more. They can also be used in comparative and superlative forms to show degrees of comparison, such as "taller" and "tallest."

There are several different types of adjectives. Here are some of the most common types:

Descriptive Adjectives

These are the most common type of adjectives. They describe the quality or characteristics of a noun or pronoun. 

For example blue sky, hot coffee, tall tree.

Quantitative Adjectives

These adjectives describe the quantity or amount of something. 

For example three books, few people, several options.

Demonstrative Adjectives

These adjectives point out a specific noun or pronoun. 

For example this book, that car, these shoes.

Possessive Adjectives

These adjectives show possession or ownership of a noun or pronoun. 

For example my hat, her cat, their house.

Interrogative Adjectives: 

These adjectives are used to ask questions about a noun or pronoun. 

For example: which book, what colour, whose car.

Relative adjectives: 

Relative adjectives are adjectives that are used to introduce a relative clause. 

For example who, which, that

Numeric adjectives:

Numeric adjectives are adjectives that are used to describe quantities or numbers of things. 

For example one, three, several

Indefinite Adjectives: 

These adjectives are used to refer to an unspecified or unknown quantity of something. 

For example some people, any food, no money.

Comparative and Superlative Adjectives: 

These adjectives are used to compare two or more nouns or pronouns. 

For example taller, more expensive, the biggest.

Note that some adjectives can belong to multiple categories, depending on how they are used in a sentence.
