Definition  For Descriptive adjectives:

Descriptive adjectives are the most common type of adjective. They describe the quality or characteristics of a noun or pronoun. Descriptive adjectives are used to provide more detail about the appearance, colour, size, shape, texture, age, origin, or any other characteristic of the noun or pronoun.

Examples of descriptive adjectives include

"blue" in "blue sky,"

"hot" in "hot coffee,"

"tall" in "tall tree."

In each case, the adjective is describing a characteristic of the noun or pronoun that it is modifying.

Descriptive adjectives can be used in many ways, including before or after the noun or pronoun they are describing. In some cases, multiple adjectives can be used to describe the same noun or pronoun, as in "the small, furry dog."

Descriptive adjectives can also be used in comparative and superlative forms to show degrees of comparison.

For example, "taller" is the comparative form of the adjective "tall," and "the tallest" is the superlative form of the same adjective.

Overall, descriptive adjectives are an important part of the English language, as they help to provide more detail and create a clearer picture of the nouns and pronouns they describe.
